The older adults of the US prefer to stay independent and in their homes for as long as they can. In order to make things easy for them we, at the ADL – Advances for Daily Living, have come up with a stairlift to increase their mobility and home comfort. Founded in 1993, we have always been known for providing mobility devices and offering prompt delivery of catheter supplies and pain reduction products. Our staff is always there to assist you with your particular needs, provide professional installation and services. We even offer free and no-obligation home consultations for your added convenience. For the people of Danville, Lynchburg, Lexington, VA, Covington, Blacksburg, and Salem we even offer Stairlift rentals for those who are tight on their budget and need a short-term solution.
Below we have mentioned 3 main types of stairlift designs available with us. Take a look.
- For the straight staircases
For these kinds of staircases, a seated stair lift should be the perfect option. This is the most common type of stairlift device but the problem arises if the area in your stairway is very narrow. Getting a professional to install it would be recommended.
- For the curved staircases
Though these are also seated stairlifts and they serve the same purpose as the one mentioned above, there are minor differences. In this version, the design is done with the focus on accommodating this device for the winding staircases.
- For the inclined platforms
In places where there are no stairs but you have inclined planks in your houses the option of stairlift does not arise. In such a situation, we would recommend a wheelchair as a solution weather person can easily move up and down the plank sitting on it.
